Department of International Affairs

In addition to the Commission for Foreigners, which is the organ of international students in the student self-administration, the AStA has again maintained its own department for a few legislatures, which deals with the needs of this status group. The department for international affairs is the self-organized, student counterpart to the official university office for international affairs.

We are particularly concerned with introducing foreign students to everyday life at the university. This includes better communication, as well as promoting togetherness, encounters and mutual acceptance among all students (especially between those with or without German passports). But also to inspire foreign students to work in student councils, committees or generally in university politics.
