Job Announcement: Six Positions in Communication, Archives & Mobility

Our public relations work is getting a new direction! We have restructured the previous press office for this term into a specialized team of four new specialist positions. We’re introducing you to the areas they will be responsible for in the future:

1. Social Media Specialist

For a quick and direct line to you, our Social Media Specialist is now responsible. Their main task is to fill our channels, especially Instagram, with creative and daily content – from informative stories about important deadlines to entertaining Reels from everyday university life. They are also the voice of our community management, answering your comments and messages to ensure a lively and interactive exchange.

2. Online Presence Specialist

Our AStA website serves as the central source of information and is now managed by a dedicated Online Presence Specialist. They are the technical backbone of our communication, ensuring that all content – from regulations and minutes to the contact details of the departments – is always up-to-date, correct, and easy to find. This makes searching for outdated information a thing of the past.

3. Editorial & Content Creation Specialist

To provide the necessary depth and clarity on complex (university) political topics, we have created the specialist position for Editorial & Content Creation. This person is our expert for the written word. They write detailed articles for the website, formulate official statements, and ensure through careful proofreading that all our texts – from press releases to newsletters – are high-quality, precise, and easy to understand.

4. Public Communication & Press Relations Specialist

To ensure that all our communication follows a clear strategy and that the AStA’s work is professionally represented to the public, the Public Communication & Press Relations Specialist coordinates the strategic direction. They are the central contact person for press inquiries, plan comprehensive information campaigns on important topics like the university committee elections, and ensure that the student body’s concerns are heard by the university public and the media. They ensure that we, as the AStA, speak with a strong, unified voice.

5. Archives Specialist

The history of the student union is important, and we want to preserve it for the future. That’s why we are looking for a specialist for our archives. Your main task will be to systematically digitize our analog documents, minutes, and records. You will bring order to the past and create a digital knowledge base that is accessible to future student generations and makes the AStA’s work more transparent.

6. Mobility Mini-Job (starting Jan 1, 2026)

Student mobility is a key topic for the future. For this area, we are looking for a motivated individual on a mini-job basis, starting from January 1, 2026, who is eager to actively shape this field. You will organize events like bicycle repair workshops, provide information on using the semester ticket, and develop new concepts for sustainable mobility on campus. You will be the main point of contact for students regarding all questions about mobility.
